The Symphony in the Flint Hills is a music festival in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas, at Flint Hills tallgrass prairie. A beloved prairie tradition that brought the Kansas City Symphony and guests to the Flint Hills for an open-air concert celebrating tallgrass ecology, art, and Kansas heritage. The Signature Event concluded with its 20th Anniversary Grand Finale in June 2025; the organization continues prairie education through its Field Journal and programs.
