The Central States Fair is an agricultural fair in Rapid City, South Dakota, at Central States Fairgrounds. The 2026 event takes place Aug 21–29, 2026. Rapid City's beloved nine-day summer fair in the gap between the Sturgis Rally and back-to-school season. Carnival rides, PRCA Range Days Rodeo, Xtreme Broncs Finals, demolition derby, motocross, and grandstand concerts including Jo Dee Messina and Billy Currington fill the fairgrounds each August.
