West Virginia's free statewide folk festival on Memorial Day weekend, bringing traditional Appalachian musicians, dancers, storytellers, and craftspeople to the Capitol Complex in Charleston. Fiddle, banjo, mandolin, and guitar contests fill the grounds by day; evening concerts, square dancing, ethnic food, and the famous Liars Contest make it a signature celebration of Mountain State heritage.
